![]() ![]() ![]() If I was able to equip it, it would just get chump blocked. I rarely was able to effectively cheat it into play with stoneforge and I never wanted to hardcast it. YOu know, I've tested exoskeleton and a lot of people swear by it but it was terrible for me. Temporal mastery is pretty sweet in conjunction with ] or ] 5 mana at time warp already feels like a curve topper. I don't like walk the aeons as 6 mana is a lot (you wanna be able to cast other stuff, equip that turn, etc). In stax, you not only have difficulty casting them, but they also end up being 5-6 mana explores. In a midrange/tempo build, it's not too difficult to run away with the game by looping 2-3 time walks in a row. I've found that the extra turn spells are great if you are playing tempo, but terrible if you are in stax. ![]() Ranger of eos is one of my favorite throwbacks from the alara block when I ran it in standard :) Recruiter of the guard is sweet, but always felt a turn too slow for me in the list when i tested him. I'm not too big of a fan of teeg and edric right now, but thats based off the meta here. I can take a look at your list for you if you upload it! With the stax version, I tried to keep stax effects that were least likely to nonbo with myself, although some cards are so powerful that they are worth running anyways. I had the same issue, which is why I've added ] and friends and it has served me well so far. I'm personally not too found of the aura/voltron route, but there might be some potential with access to 3 different copies of ]. The list could definitely support squirrelcraft combo. Here is a more staxy list I was messing around with for a bit. I would imagine enchantress would provide powerful stax effects ], ], ], etc combined with aura voltron stuff like ] and ]. ![]() Also have you considered ]? I remember reading some debate over it. How have the extra turn cards been working for you? I have two laying around (Walk The Aeons and Time Warp), and I could see resolving one leading to two kills. I also run a few more dork/hatebear tutors like Recruiter of the Guard and Ranger of Eos. Mana Maze was an inclusion I hadn't thought of, and other than that I run Teeg, Thalia, Containment Priest, Sanctum Prelate, and several other 'classic' hatebears. I think other than my main motivator being deck variety, I am looking to slow the game down to a crawl. I also opted to run Earthcraft+Squirrel's Nest as a backup wincon which synergizes nicely with Enchantresses. Like you mention, CA is generally an issue and instant-speed options are a fast, low-cost remedy. My main concern is balancing consistent CA like Edric, Enchantresses, and cards like Spirit of the Labyrinth. Usually against fast-combo lists, I'll just play my own. My meta varies often because I travel, but my home meta is often grindier (in which the Enchantress package has performed well in the past) and my current local meta is a mix of fast-combo cEDH lists and durdly casual decks. The consistent value from the Enchantress package is pretty solid, and obviously there's some synergy with the Voltron and hate enchantments (hatechantress?) strategy. If your meta/league has custom rules or bans we ask that you move your requests to /r/EDH instead. Please use the Magic Judges chat to ask about rules and card interactions. List any experience (if any) you've had with the deck.īe respectful of all suggestions and criticisms. Include the deck's main goal and how it gets there. Include commanders, strategies, wincons, or if you are going into a blind meta. If you cannot afford a bunch of cards all at once feel free to ask which suggestions you should prioritize getting first.
